World Cancer Day 2026

Our World Cancer Day Public Event at Artificial Beach on the 6th of February 2026 brought together the community for an evening focused on cancer awareness, wellness, and support. Dr. Aminath Jameel joined us as Chief Guest to celebrate the unique journeys of every individual affected by cancer in the Maldives. Patients and families found coping resources and support in a welcoming, community-centered environment.

IGMH, Dhamana Veshi, Tree Top Hospital, Hulhule Hospital, and the National Onco Centre provided vital clinical support and informative stalls and sessions covering nutrition and wellness, alongside essential information about cancer awareness and screenings. The Maldives National University and Villa College contributed to spreading knowledge and fostering awareness, helping the community understand cancer as a deeply personal experience that extends beyond diagnosis.

Dhirithi Faruvaa, Master Dental Care, and SHE Maldives offered specialized services in tobacco cessation, nutrition, emotional coping, and patient support, creating a comprehensive approach to wellness and care.
